Full description and what we offer
Deep River Sporting Clays and Shooting School sits on 65 acres of scenic woodlands near Sanford, serving shooters since 1989. This isn't just a place to pull a trigger—it's built around instruction, community, and actual improvement.
Sporting Clays Course - 13 different shooting fields with two positions each. The course resets monthly so you're not shooting the same thing every time. It's a walking course through the woods, not a drive-through operation.
Wobble Deck / 5-Stand - Wireless multi-target practice field built around an international wobble trap. Eight optional target presentations. This is where you go to dial in before the full course.
Shooting Pavilion - 8-lane outdoor range for members and groups. Shotgun, handgun, and .22 rimfire only. Not open to walk-up individuals, but you can book it for a group event with a safety officer present.
The team includes multiple shotgun and pistol instructors led by President Ed Strickland. Whether you're picking up a gun for the first time or refining your technique, there's structure here.
1,300 sq ft clubhouse with restroom facilities, covered porch, woodstove in winter, air conditioning in summer.
They host corporate outings, team building events, and meetings. Catering available. Groups of any size can be accommodated with flexible facilities.
