Full description and what we offer
Rich spent his career as a New Jersey State Police Detective Sergeant, Marine Corps Infantry Officer, and worked with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. He kept arriving at crime scenes after the damage was done. That's what pushed him to start teaching people to protect themselves before they need police.
Rich brings certifications in: - radKIDS Personal Safety Empowerment Education (kids ages 5-12) - Gracie Survival Tactics for Law Enforcement - Krav Maga Law Enforcement Instructor Training - R.A.D. Basic Physical Self-Defense - Crisis Intervention Team Training (through Duke University Police)
He's been vetted by New Jersey State Police, FBI, and Wake County—a rigorous background check process reflecting their commitment to safety.
His wife Kristin is also a certified instructor. She brings perspective on threats women actually face, which Rich acknowledges he can't fully understand alone. Their kids Daniel and Julia, who completed the radKIDS curriculum themselves, now mentor younger students.

This isn't martial arts. It's instinctive self-defense for real-world situations. The curriculum focuses on: - Awareness skills (the first line of defense) - Simple, effective physical techniques taught in slow, deliberate manner - Turning natural reactions into defense strategies - Survival-focused training, not sport fighting
Adults don't need to be physically fit. Most of each seminar is discussion. Kids' classes are all drills with plenty of activity.
No long-term commitments required. These are one-time seminars. Sign up, train, walk out confident.
They bring training to you. Minimum 6 attendees, maximum 12. You just need space for a projector, screen, and seating. They've traveled around the country delivering these seminars.
