International Benchrest Shooters (IBS) isn't a range or a store—it's the organizational backbone of competitive benchrest shooting in North America. They sanction registered matches, maintain national rankings, publish official rulebooks, and connect competitors across the United States.
Benchrest is precision rifle competition at its most demanding. Shooters fire from a benchrest (a stable shooting platform), and accuracy is measured in fractional inches at distances of 100, 200, 300, 600, and 1,000 yards. The best shooters in the sport achieve groups measured in tenths of inches.
