Make a Pile Outfitters has the distinction of being the first to offer guided bear hunts in Dare County. Located in Eastern North Carolina, their bear hunting properties are surrounded by Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge—which prohibits bear harvest—positioning them on prime, unhunted land where mature bears thrive.
Bear Hunts - 1-day hunts: $1,200 - 2-day hunts: $2,400 - 3-day hunts: $3,500 (includes on-site lodging, all meals) - $1,000 deposit required - $250 cleaning fee when you harvest - Limit one bear per year
Duck Hunts Run from their Collington location on the NC coast with high success rates on puddle ducks and divers alike. - $500 for 3 people, then $150 per additional person (up to 6 total) - New blinds, hot breakfast every morning - $100 deposit to book - Dog-friendly, lodging available

Mike and Paula Ambrose run the operation with genuine care for each hunt. They take pride in hunters leaving with fresh game and a smile. Dogs are welcome on duck hunts, and they're always open to last-minute bookings.
