Full description and what we offer
Oak Hill Hunting Preserve runs 250+ acres of managed habitat designed specifically to support healthy game populations and give hunters real opportunities. Owner and long-time hunter Dickie Killinger handles everything personally—no voicemail, no forms, just direct hospitality.
- •Upland Game — Released quail, pheasant, and chukar. Guided hunts with experienced handlers and well-trained pointing dogs, or unguided if you bring your own bird dog. The birds are strong and high-flying.
- •Ducks — Multiple cultivated habitats with comfortable vantage points. Guides bring experienced retrievers. Cabin stays eliminate the pre-dawn drive.
- •Deer — The preserve provides ample water, shelter, and food sources. Multiple stand setups and terrain options to choose from. Skinning station on-site.
Largemouth bass, bream, catfish, and crappie in their ponds. Keep up to three bass and ten other fish per group; everything else is catch-and-release.
Several cabins and a log house accommodate different group sizes. Full kitchens, comfortable furnishings, designed for a welcoming woods experience. Stay overnight and walk to your hunting spot in the morning.
Dog Training Available — Bring your own bird dog or retriever for specialized training hunts focused on what your dog needs to work on.
Call Dickie Killinger directly at (252) 521-5179 to book a hunt, reserve a cabin, or ask questions. That's it—straightforward eastern NC hospitality.
