Full description and what we offer
Absolute Gun Dogs operates out of Bismarck, ND as a family-owned gun dog training facility and breeding operation. The business focuses on developing happy, enthusiastic, and productive canine companions for hunting, field trialing, and home life.
The kennel has chosen three breeds as their foundation: English Springer Spaniels, English Cocker Spaniels, and British Labrador Retrievers. According to owner Dan Murray, these breeds combine stamina, nose capability, water affinity, and easy-going temperaments that make them ideal all-around gun dogs.
Training Services Include: - Gun dog obedience training - Field trial handling and preparation - Waterfowl training - Pheasant hunting instruction - Select Puppy Program (started puppies) - Super Puppy Program (advanced young dogs)
Absolute Gun Dogs has a proven track record in field trials. Recent 2025 placements include:
"Our name derives from our commitment to bring out the best in any dog, be it for hunting, field trialing, or as a loving pet around the house; the absolute best your dog can be."
Absolute offers guided pheasant hunts across North Dakota during season. The operation has multiple guides available and customizes hunts to match hunter experience level.
The facility includes a full-service boarding operation with:
