Dakota Winds Hunting operates a pheasant hunting outfitter in southwest North Dakota with over 10,000 acres of working habitat—CRP land, creek bottoms, cattail sloughs, and food plots of milo, millet, and corn. Most days you'll flush hundreds or thousands of wild pheasants, with sharptail grouse and Hungarian partridge also common on the property.
Guided Hunts (includes dog): - 4-5 hunters: $440/day per person - 6-7 hunters: $400/day per person - 8+ hunters: $370/day per person
Unguided Hunts: - 4-5 hunters: $340/day per person - 6-7 hunters: $320/day per person - 8+ hunters: $300/day per person
December and January hunts run $50/day discount per person
The barn lodge—a 1929 historic structure converted into two separate units—sleeps up to 12 people per side with full kitchens, 2 baths, satellite TV, central heat/air, and washer/dryer. A heated bird cleaning station and 16 kennels sit directly below. Two additional houses sleep 4-6 people each.
Lodging rates (6-person minimum for hunting packages): - 6-7 people: $120/night per person - 8+ people: $110/night per person - Plus 5% sales tax
Trap shooting, horseshoe pits, and electric darts available on-site. USDA beef available for purchase.
Preserve pheasant hunts available when wild season closes. On-site supplies include shells, hunter orange, shooting glasses, and clay pigeons.
