Full description and what we offer
Buffalo City Gun Club operates a public trap and skeet shooting facility that's been a centerpiece of the Jamestown shooting community for more than five decades. The club hosts league play, sanctioned ATA competitions, and serves hunters looking to sharpen their skills before season.
"The youth is where it's very popular, moreso than adults."
The club supports two competitive teams: - Jamestown High School trap team: 38 athletes - University of Jimmies shooting sports team: 15–20 athletes
Both teams share head coach John Mazur, and club members help mentor the high school shooters during practice.
The majority of members are hunters. Many use trap shooting as a practice tool to prepare for hunting season, and the club typically sees a spike in attendance toward fall as shooters tune up before heading afield.
Tyler Goldade has served as club president for three years, handling finances, grounds maintenance, and event scheduling. The club recovered from COVID-era membership losses and is rebuilding: the league returned from eight teams (2020) to 15–16 teams by 2024.
