Matthew Piehl, the owner, was born and raised in North Dakota and hunts waterfowl year-round. He also owns The Shooting Park in Horace, ND. Nick Marcyes has a degree in fisheries and wildlife management and spends 10 months per year in the field chasing the migration with Dirty Bird. Both are obsessed with waterfowl hunting—not just the kill, but the tradition and camaraderie.

Dirty Bird partners with Open Country Lodge for comfortable accommodations that sleep up to 16 people.
