The Canton McKinley Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in 1926 and has built itself into one of the country's recognized shooting clubs. They're affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program and hold memberships in the Ohio Rifle and Pistol Association and the Stark County Federation of Conservation Clubs.
The club operates on 82 acres with dedicated indoor and outdoor facilities. Members get access to:
Indoor Range — 50 feet long with 15 firing points. Handles air pistol, air rifle, .22 small bore rifle, and centerfire pistols up to .45 caliber (soft lead loads only—no full metal jacket or magnum loads).
Three Outdoor Ranges: - Rifle Range: 10 covered benches plus 14 additional firing points, with target stands at 100 and 200 yards - Pistol Range: 87 firing points for 25 and 50 yard shooting - Multipurpose Range: 12 covered firing points at 50 yards and closer
Indoor shooting runs September through April with structured leagues: - Junior Small Bore Rifle (Tuesday evenings) - Adult Small Bore Rifle (Wednesdays) - Junior Air Gun (Friday/Saturday evenings) - Bullseye Pistol Leagues (Tuesday and Thursday mornings/evenings) - Monthly "1800" Bullseye Pistol Matches (first Sunday) - Air Pistol and Rifle Matches (second Sunday) - Benchrest .22 matches twice monthly on Saturdays
Outdoor ranges open year-round for members. Summer season (May-August) includes managed pistol and rifle league activities, plus special events like the Governor's Trophy and State Championship.

Includes access to all ranges, competitive shooting opportunities, classes and training, and volunteering options.
Guests can shoot with members after signing a liability waiver.
Junior programs for ages 8-15, adult competitive shooters, and casual members. They emphasize safe handling, proper firearm care, and developing sportsmanship values across youth and adult divisions.
