CCW Ohio delivers the mandated concealed carry training required under Ohio Revised Code 2923.125(G). The program splits into two parts: a 6-hour interactive online classroom that you complete on your schedule, followed by a mandatory 2-hour in-person range exercise with live-fire qualification.
Online Portion ($49) - Complete 6 hours of self-paced classroom training accessible 24/7 on any device with internet - Covers safe handgun handling, ammunition safety, storage practices, shooting fundamentals, and Ohio carry laws - Designed for absolute beginners—many students have never held a gun before—and seasoned shooters alike - Must finish within 30 days; certificate valid for 3 years
Range Portion ($40–varies by location) - Minimum 2 hours of hands-on live-fire training at an Ohio range - Choose from CCW Ohio's four established locations or any range offering the required training

Veterans with documented military handgun training are exempt from the training requirement—only the state license fee is waived.
CCW Ohio is owned by a Navy veteran and his son. The curriculum was created by a certified instructor and training counselor and is based on NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting, modified to meet Ohio CHL requirements. Classes sell out regularly—sign-ups are handled through PayPal.
Ohio's constitutional carry law allows handgun carry without a license. CCW Ohio offers a standalone 6-hour constitutional carry course ($49) covering fundamental safety, where you can legally carry, and what to do during law enforcement stops. The certificate can later be applied toward a formal CHL if desired.
