Pawpaw Hill Hunting manages private hunting property in the heart of Pike County's Amish country. The operation focuses on archery only—fair chase whitetail hunting on managed acreage with serious trophy potential.
27 acres of private wooded hunting ground surrounded by an additional 80 acres of unhunted private land with crop fields adjacent. Five tree stands are in place, but hunters are welcome to bring climbers for alternate locations. Stands are within 10-15 minute walks from parking.
Year-round corn bait pile maintained on property
Weekly bookings run Sunday PM through Friday PM with checkout at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. Rate is $1,900 per week and includes accommodations for up to two hunters—hunt solo or as a pair for the same fee.
A clean, fully stocked 30-foot travel trailer sits on the property with: - Tub/shower with bath linens - Full bed linens included - Refrigerator with freezer - Gas stove, microwave, coffee pot - Dishes, silverware, crockpot, outside grill - All utilities included
You bring food and personal toiletries.

They only book a limited number of hunts each season to prevent over-hunting. This isn't a high-volume outfitter—it's managed specifically to maintain quality.
Over three full seasons, hunters have had numerous opportunities at bucks 150" and over, though the finished buck count remains low due to misses and miscalculations. Big bucks typically don't show on camera until September.
