Rut Chasers, LLC operates out of Nashport in east-central Ohio, where the Boone and Crockett whitetail are abundant. Owner Travis Holbrook built this outfitter around a simple philosophy: quality over quantity. Unlike operations that book every available hunter, Rut Chasers intentionally limits hunts so you get the focus and expertise you're paying for.
"I'm not an Ohio hunting outfitter for the money. I guide hunters because I absolutely love it! I love being involved. I simply love putting guys on deer."
The rebooking rate tells the real story. Hunters come back because they see mature bucks and have legitimate opportunities—not participation-trophy hunting. Rut Chasers maintains 130-inch antler minimums on all farms and enforces quality deer management. This means fewer hunters seeing fewer (but bigger) deer.

Hunts take place across several thousand acres in Ohio's most consistent trophy whitetail region. Properties mix timber country, open agricultural land, and thick bedding areas. You'll hunt food sources, bait piles, and crop fields depending on season and deer movement.
You drive yourself to properties (in most cases) to maintain freedom and keep your gear on hand. Some properties require drop-off/pickup per landowner request. Lodging is not included but Rut Chasers will help you find reasonable accommodations. The focus is on your schedule and comfort, not herding hunters.
Size Restrictions Matter
130-inch antler minimum enforced on all farms. Violation results in $1,000 fine. Management bucks exempt only by guide approval. No restrictions for youth or disabled hunters. :::
Travis grew up hunting with his dad and grandfather in Coshocton County on a 400-acre farm. He killed his first deer at 12 with a Horton crossbow—a 6-point. That farm produced 15 deer for his collection over the years. He's hunted across multiple states but built Rut Chasers to stay involved with whitetail year-round while staying close to family.
He's killed multiple mature bucks including Goliath (200+ inches, killed opening week 2020) and Pretty Boy (mid-170s, killed in velvet in Kentucky). His personal hunting success directly influences how he guides clients.
