Right 2 Arm Firearms specializes in getting Ohio shooters their concealed carry licenses. The operation is built around one thing: making sure you understand firearms safety and the law before carrying a handgun.

Mike Reed runs the classes. He's an NRA Certified Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Benefactor Life Member of the NRA. Before that, he spent six years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Military Police Officer. With over 35 years of firearms experience and a hunting background, he knows what he's teaching.

The Basic Pistol/CCW course is the NRA standard—required in Ohio before applying for your concealed carry license. It's a one-day commitment: 7:15am to 4:30pm, approximately 9 hours. You'll cover:

• •NRA rules for safe gun handling
• •How to clean your gun
• •Various shooting positions
• •Ammunition selection and safety
• •The Ohio CCW Law Book
• •Which U.S. states recognize your Ohio license

You'll use the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet. At the end, you take the Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and get your qualification certificate.

Cost: $95

Need a gun for the class? Right 2 Arm offers handgun rentals. You just need to bring 50 rounds of ammunition (larger than .22 caliber) and hearing and eye protection. Classes are held on the lower level of the store.

They accept FFL transfers from online purchases:

• •Standard transfers: $35 per serialized item
• •Class 3/NFA transfers: $100 per serialized item (must contact before sending)
• •Transfers available the next business day after receipt
• •All transfers must include the seller's FFL in the box

Storage rule: Items not picked up within 120 days start accumulating $35/month fees. After 365 days, the item becomes store property.

Right 2 Arm carries the Cadex Defense line—specialized military-grade firearms available to civilians. These are high-end components used by military units and special operations forces. Current focus: the CDX-33 Patriot Lite sniper rifle, an extreme-range sub-minute system. Special orders available.
