American Sportsman Club operates a member-owned facility near East Canton with dedicated ranges for rifle, pistol, and archery shooting, plus prime woodland hunting grounds. The club maintains organized rules for each shooting discipline and welcomes both members and public participation at select events.
For Members: - Rifle range access - Pistol range access - Archery range access - Hunting privileges on 143 acres - Tree stand and trapping areas - Pond access
Public Events: - Trap shoots (every Monday, $6.50 per round) - Meat shoots - Bowling pin pistol shoots - Seasonal competitions
Trap shooters should bring one box of #7.5 or #8 shot per round, or purchase shells on-site. Contact Jim Wissmar at 330-323-1146 for trap shoot details.
The club operates on dues-based membership with monthly meetings where members learn about upcoming events and club updates. Board-led committees handle everything from range maintenance to event organization. Hunter orange is required on club grounds per Ohio DNR regulations.
