Full description and what we offer
Northern Oklahoma sits directly in the Central Flyway migration route, making it a natural bottleneck where massive flocks of ducks and geese stop to feed and rest. Crash Landing Outdoors leverages this geography with private land access, owned properties, and an extensive network of landowner relationships to put hunters on consistent action from early November through late January.
Duck hunting targets mallards, pintails, widgeon, gadwall, canvasbacks, wood ducks, and shovelers across three distinct seasons:
Hunts are conducted from A-frame blinds, natural cover on riverbanks, and built blinds in wetlands. The operation uses decoys, calling, and strategic scouting to follow bird movement across their network.
Goose hunting focuses on Canada geese, specklebellies (greater white-fronted geese), and snow geese using full-body decoys, silhouettes, socks, and motion setups in cut corn, wheat, bean fields, and rye grass. Early-season specks are responsive to calling. Mid-season ("the split") delivers mixed bags and high-volume action. Late-season requires more scouting but rewards with mature birds and complex tactical setups.
Northern Oklahoma's combination of fertile agriculture, river bottoms, hardwood draws, and well-managed private land creates ideal whitetail habitat. Crash Landing Outdoors hunts all three seasons:
Hunts use a mix of stands, blinds, and shooting houses positioned on scouted travel corridors. Group sizes limited to 2-6 hunters per package to maintain a personal, focused experience.
When September rolls around, northern Oklahoma's mix of agriculture, water, and roosting habitat holds strong numbers of mourning doves and Eurasian collared doves. CLO offers 3-day inclusive packages for this fast-paced early-season hunting.
Every package includes lodging at CLO's high-end inclusive lodge, designed for up to 14 people. Guests enjoy private accommodations, fine meals, full bar, and entertaining activities between hunts. This setup makes CLO ideal for:
Minimum 3-day inclusive packages. All hunts are custom-tailored to guest needs and can be adjusted for special requirements.
CLO offers limited rentals of:

CLO provides guidance on current regulations via the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation website.
Archie Bradley (Founding Partner): MLB pitcher and Oklahoma native who grew up hunting. Brings unparalleled passion for the hunt and uses his platform to support CLO operations.
Mak Monckton (Founding Partner): Respected local with deep community relationships in the medical services industry. Builds and maintains landowner partnerships while serving as an experienced guide.
Guides are trained retrievers and well-versed in reading bird and deer movement, scouting tactics, and field setups.
CLO spends the entire year preparing land, managing habitat, maintaining gear, and building the team. Every evening and morning during season, guides scout across the private land network to track bird movement, feeding patterns, and weather impacts. This commitment to preparation is what separates intimate, authentic hunts from high-volume operations.
"Crash Landing Outdoors isn't just about outfitting hunts, it's about creating outdoor experiences that bring people together to make memories that last a lifetime."
