Full description and what we offer
Glynn's Firearm Training offers state-compliant concealed carry instruction for Oregon and Utah, operating from Hillsboro, OR. Their tagline says it straight: Safety Through Knowledge.
They run three main class formats:
Online Oregon CHL Course - Self-paced lessons covering safety, Oregon & federal law, and use of force - Requires 80% pass on final test to receive certificate - No time commitment—work through it on your schedule
Classroom Training
| Class Type | Duration | What's Covered | Certificate? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oregon CHL/CCW | 2 hours | Firearm safety, Oregon & federal law, use of force | Yes, provided after class |
| Utah CFP | 4+ hours | Utah-specific law, process, safety, fingerprinting | No—Utah approves by application |
| Oregon + Utah Combined | 4.5 hours | Full Oregon segment, then Utah law/process | Oregon cert + Utah packet |
All classroom students receive fingerprinting on-site and the Utah application packet with photo instructions (when applicable).
They'll come to your location for private or group instruction. Request a private class (1 person), small group (2-5 people), or larger group (5+ people). Groups of 5 or more get a perk: the host takes the Oregon class free.
You pick the format: - Oregon only (2 hours) - Utah only (4.5 hours) - Both Oregon and Utah combined
If Glynn's cancels a class, they contact students as far in advance as possible. You can then reschedule or get a full refund.

Oregon and Utah both require training for concealed carry permits. Glynn's handles the state-specific law, the federal law, the safety fundamentals, and—for Utah—the fingerprinting and application prep. No surprises, no hidden steps. You finish class ready to submit your permit application.
Whether you want to do it online at your own pace or in a room with an instructor, they've got the option. And if you need both permits, the combined class saves time compared to taking them separately.
