The Orange Airsoft Club at OSU is the only officially recognized student organization (RSO) for airsoft at the university, founded in 2023. They bring together players of all experience levels—from complete beginners to seasoned veterans—for weekly game days, tactical training, and community events.
Membership is free for OSU students. Just join the Discord and register on the Student Engagement portal. Here's what comes with it:

- •Free unlimited 0.28g BBs at outdoor arenas

- •$25 Warpaint entry (normally higher) + 10% off The Swamp store

OrangeBlitz is the club's flagship annual event series—themed, student-organized, and always free for OSU students. Past events include:
- •2025: Laser Tag Alien Invasion — Sci-fi themed laser tag at MU Quad with fog effects and music
- •2024: The Rise of Orange — Info session with pizza party, Q&A, and club overview
- •2025: Halloween Laser Tag Night — October 31, 5–8 PM at Student Legacy Park with costumes, free drinks, and all gear provided
These aren't just game nights—they're community events with volunteer opportunities, accessibility support, and inclusive gameplay for all skill levels.
Airsoft combines the strategy of real-world sports with the immersion of video games. Players use replica tactical gear and plastic BBs in team-based scenarios—clearing rooms, defending objectives, running tactical missions. It teaches communication, leadership under pressure, coordination, and quick decision-making in a safe, controlled environment.
