Meemo's Farm brings in Ronnie Smith, a third-generation bird dog trainer whose uncle Delmar Smith founded the Smith Training Method and made the Field Trial Hall of Fame. This isn't distant instruction—Smith spent decades guiding hunts on major Texas ranches and has been teaching seminars across the country since taking over Ronnie Smith Kennels in 1982.
The Foundation Seminar is the core of the Smith Training Method. Everything else branches from it. Over a weekend, you work through:
Smith emphasizes teaching you to read your dog's behavior and interact in ways that actually help the dog—not just get obedience.
Hands-on training starts at 8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday, wrapping around 3:00 PM. Mix of demonstrations, group sessions, and direct one-on-one work with your dog. Classes stay small intentionally.
Meemo's Farm sits on working land in Oregon with facilities for shooting, hunting, and dog training. The property includes rifle and handgun ranges, sporting clays, skeet, and 5-stand shooting.
