Sargent Arms Firearms Training Academy offers 4-hour concealed carry courses designed for both Oregon residents and non-resident Utah permit seekers. Both permits authorize you to carry concealed in 34 different states.
David Sargent is an NRA and Utah Department of Public Safety certified firearms instructor with 15 years of concealed carry training experience across Wisconsin and Oregon. He's a nationally qualified Expert Marksman and Master Marksman as designated by the Curry County Sheriff's Department.
Classes focus on two core areas: - Environmental awareness and threat recognition - Legal requirements and responsibilities for carrying concealed
The curriculum is designed for both men and women with varying experience levels.

No firearm required for the course. If you want live-fire training, Sargent Arms can arrange range time separately at negotiated rates—you'll learn to field-strip your gun and practice at 15' and 25' ranges.
Bring a pen, paper, and your questions. You're welcome to bring a friend, though they'll need to register and pay separately. Outside food and drinks are allowed (none provided).
- •Oregon: Apply online immediately and schedule an appointment at the Lane County Sheriff's Department.
- •Utah (Non-Resident): Complete an online application, provide a fingerprint card and 2"×2" passport photo, then mail to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. Processing time varies.
