Full description and what we offer
DPFNG runs a busy calendar of organized shooting activities for all skill levels. Whether you're into precision rifle, competitive pistol, or introducing kids to the outdoors, there's always something happening.
Civilian Marksmanship Program matches fire on the fourth Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM sharp. These formal rifle events are for hi-powered and military-style rifles. Sign-up happens by phone or in person by 7:45 AM the day of the shoot. Contact Joe Kling at 717-319-7358 for details.
Competitive pistol shooters gather the fourth Sunday of each month. Registration opens at 8:00 AM with a mandatory safety briefing at 9:00 AM—you must attend to shoot. Competition starts at 9:30 AM.
Bring 150-200 rounds pre-loaded into magazines. Shooters can only use ammunition they've brought and pre-loaded. Any pistol caliber handgun or carbine works; no magnums, steel core, FN5.7, or 22TCM.
On-line pre-registration preferred at practiscore.com/clubs/dpfng-steel-challenge-shoot. Contact Katie Novotny at 443-617-7568 for questions.
Every August, DPFNG offers both independent study and full instructional hunter safety courses. The Hunter Safety Card is valid nationwide and required for first-time hunters and out-of-state hunting. Register through the PA Game Commission at www.pgc.state.pa.us. Lunch is provided for instructional course attendees.
Kids Fish Day happens the first Saturday of May (confirm on calendar). Children ages 2-12 can catch up to 5 trout from the club stream—some bragging-size fish included. Sign-up starts at 8:00 AM, fishing runs 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Prizes awarded in multiple categories. Event is open to the public; kids must be accompanied by an adult.
DPFNG hosts authorized firearms instruction and legal seminars on the property. Only club-approved instructors can conduct courses on site. Contact Tony Domenico, Jr. for course information or check the website calendar.
