Full description and what we offer
Allison Park Sportsmen's Club operates out of 2807 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116 as a community-driven organization dedicated to outdoor conservation and recreation in western Pennsylvania.
This isn't a typical gun range or retail shop. APSC focuses on environmental stewardship and community engagement through hands-on conservation work and educational events:
A massive cyanide discharge in 1979 wiped out an estimated 740,000 fish and most aquatic life in Pine Creek. The responsible company paid only $14,000 to restock.
Members like Charles Kolich had spent five years preparing that stream before the disaster. This history drives APSC's ongoing commitment to stream restoration and why they position themselves as "the eyes and ears on the ground" for local waterway protection.
| Event | Details |
|---|---|
| Pine Creek Stream Cleanups | Annual events (2021-2025) removing debris and restoring habitat |
| Dan Wagner Memorial | Recurring annual event honoring the club's legacy |
| Fawcett Fields | Community youth fishing days (2021-2025) |
| Monthly Meetings | Speaker presentations on fly fishing, hunting, regional history |

The club emphasizes three core values:
1. Conservation - Dedicated to preserving nature and local ecosystems 2. Adventure - Promoting outdoor activities for all skill levels 3. Community - Building relationships through shared outdoor experiences
Unlike commercial ranges or retail shops, APSC is member-driven and focused on long-term environmental impact rather than profit. Their work directly addresses what they call the ongoing reality: "The fight for clean water and healthy ecosystems never truly ends."
