The Pennsylvania Game Commission-approved Hunter Safety course prepares hunters for responsible field work. You'll learn firearm safety, basic shooting, wildlife conservation, outdoor safety, trapping basics, and general hunting protocol. Completion gives you a temporary certificate on the spot and a permanent one by mail—required to purchase any PA hunting or trapping license.
Minimum age is 11, and you must be a PA resident. Study materials available at hunter-ed.com/pennsylvania.
CLSA periodically offers in-person boater safety training for PA waterways. If you operate a PWC or boat over 25 hp in Pennsylvania, certification is required. Non-residents can attend, and you'll carry your boater education card when operating.
