East Bangor Sportsman's Association operates a members-only shooting facility on Bangor Vein Road with serious acreage and multiple range setups. This isn't a walk-in public range—membership is required, but the setup gives you access to dedicated shooting infrastructure.
Cost & Timeline: - Renewals: $35 (through Jan 1st). After Jan 1st: $35 + $20 late fee = $55 total - New members: $35 + $20 initiation fee = $55 total - All memberships run October 1st through September 30th, regardless of purchase date
What You Need to Join: - Completed membership application - Copy of driver's license - Copy of either a carry permit, NJ Firearms ID card, OR PA State Police Background Check (PATCH)
New Member Requirements (Starting January 1, 2026):
All new members must attend a range orientation session held the 3rd Sunday of each month, 9 AM to 11 AM, at the range. You'll receive your membership card after completing the orientation.

The club runs regular matches and competitions throughout the year:
Benefit shoots and memorial events are also held. Historical events include matches in 2016-2025 with documented results available through their website.
Effective immediately, the club enforces a zero tolerance policy on poor weapons handling and rule violations. Membership can be confiscated immediately for non-compliance.
Core rules:
1. Members only (children under 16 allowed with adult member 18+) 2. No firearm handling when others are downrange—muzzle always pointed safely 3. Eye and hearing protection REQUIRED on firing line. Hearing protection minimum off the line 4. Paper targets only—no glass, bottles, gas cylinders, electronics, or exploding targets (Tannerite) 5. No automatic firearms, bump fire mechanisms, binary triggers, or .50 BMG rifles 6. Rifles/rifle-caliber pistols (except .22 rimfire) or shotguns prohibited on pistol range. Shot larger than 7½ prohibited on shotgun range 7. No targets above backstop or on berms 8. Clean up spent casings and trash—brass and dud rounds go in designated cans 9. 45-minute time limit when others are waiting 10. Alcohol and drugs strictly prohibited 11. Hunting/trapping allowed in season with valid licenses
