Full description and what we offer
Freedom Tactical LLC operates as a Class 1 non-stocking FFL dealer and NRA-certified training facility serving Chester County and the broader Pennsylvania region. They don't stock firearms or ammunition—instead, they focus on getting shooters trained and helping customers complete online firearm purchases through the proper legal channels.
FFL Transfers ($35 per item) Bought a gun online? Freedom Tactical handles the transfer paperwork. Send them details on your order, they email the FFL to your seller, and once it arrives they'll contact you to complete the background check forms and pick it up. LEO and active military get transfers for $15. They also handle private handgun transfers between individuals. They accept cash payments only and will fax or email signed FFL copies directly to your seller.
NRA Firearm Training They run small-group classes with an emphasis on safety fundamentals. For live training, they cap groups at two people maximum to give real attention to each shooter. Their philosophy: firearms are intimidating, especially for first-timers, so they keep things low-stress and focus on demystifying the mechanics.
NRA Basic Pistol Phase 2 (Hands-On Component) Builds on the online Phase 1 course. You'll learn dominant eye determination, proper two-handed grip, the five fundamentals of pistol shooting, loading/unloading procedures, and shooting positions. The course covers range safety, safety procedures, pistol maintenance, bench rest and two-handed standing positions, and qualification shooting. You'll get an NRA student completion certificate (bring your Phase 1 handbook).
The Utah permit is the most widely accepted non-resident concealed carry credential in the United States.
What's included: - Classroom instruction following Utah state-certified curriculum - Two passport-sized photographs - Digitally scanned fingerprint cards - Everything needed to apply
Utah CCW permit fee: $63.25 (paid directly to Utah BCI)
Reciprocity note: If your home state issues carry permits, you'll need one from your home state first before Utah will approve you. No permit required before taking the Utah class with Freedom Tactical, but you'll need it submitted with your application to Utah.
Freedom Tactical demystifies the online purchase process:
1. You have the right. If you can legally own a firearm, you can legally purchase one online. There are no loopholes—the laws are strict and apply to online retailers exactly like gun shops and shows.
2. Select an FFL at checkout. When you buy online, you pick a licensed FFL dealer to receive the shipment. This isn't a workaround; it's federal law. Sellers can only ship to FFLs because you need a background check before taking possession.
3. Shipping arrives in 1-2 weeks. The retailer ships via UPS or FedEx (ground or air). The receiving FFL contacts you to set up an appointment.
4. Complete the transfer. You fill out ATF and state background check forms, the FFL calls it in, and once approved you pay the transfer fee ($35 here) and take possession.
Often your online transfer fee will be less than the state sales tax you'd pay at a brick-and-mortar store. Plus if you're buying from out of state, no state sales tax applies.
West Chester, PA 19380 (484) 402-4428
Home-based FFL (non-storefront). Transfers completed at their residence. If you prefer a traditional retail location, they recommend finding a different FFL.
They explicitly reserve the right to refuse any transaction deemed unlawful or suspicious, including illegally modified firearms and straw purchases. Any suspicious activity gets reported to Pennsylvania State Police and the ATF immediately.
