Full description and what we offer

TGT Gun Club operates out of Philadelphia, PA and offers structured firearms training designed to build skills progressively—whether you're picking up a gun for the first time or refining existing abilities.

Basic Proficiency Training teaches safe handling, range etiquette, marksmanship basics, grip and trigger control through structured drills. Classes focus on building confidence through guided range time with personalized instruction from experienced firearms instructors.

Basic Shooting Skills & Marksmanship Proficiency takes shooters deeper into stance, grip techniques, sight alignment, and trigger control using hands-on supervised drills. Ammunition and targets are provided ($25 for members, $50 for non-members at King Shooters Supply).

Home Defense & Situational Awareness covers practical home protection strategies, securing your property, establishing emergency action plans, and understanding firearm use in home defense situations. Includes scenario-based training and expert guidance on layered defense systems.

  • Firearm Cleaning & Maintenance Workshop – Step-by-step disassembly, reassembly, cleaning tool selection, lubrication, and inspection techniques to keep firearms reliable long-term
  • Hunting 101: Ethics, Firearms, and Gear Essentials – Ethical hunting practices, firearm and ammunition selection for different game, essential gear from optics to navigation tools, and safety/legal compliance
  • NAAGA Marksmanship Proficiency Standards – Standardized skills assessment and qualification program offering members structured growth with personalized feedback and achievement recognition
  • Stop The Bleed Training – Two-part trauma response and life-saving skills program

TGT hosts monthly Emergency Preparedness Zoom sessions covering topics like backup power solutions, lighting options, and general crisis planning. The club also hosts the NAAGA Emergency Support Team (NEST) meetings for members interested in community preparedness, security, trauma care, radio communications, and food preservation skills.

Community events include the annual 4th Annual Juneteenth celebration (combining shooting instruction, gun cleaning classes, Stop the Bleed training, youth and women's safety courses, and community gathering), Mother's Day women's empowerment events, club anniversary celebrations, and regular happy hours.

TGT partners with FOAC (Firearms Owners Against Crime) and USCCA to provide CCW Laws courses and self-defense legal seminars—particularly focused on Pennsylvania gun laws and how they apply to Philadelphia residents. Instruction comes from law enforcement veterans with real-world case study analysis.

All instruction comes from TGT Certified Firearms Instructors. The club maintains affiliations with:
