Full description and what we offer
HistoricalArms deals exclusively in antique firearms, swords, weapons, and artifacts manufactured before 1899. Michael Simens operates as a nationally recognized authority and resource for collectors pursuing investment-quality pieces from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War era and beyond.
Simens provides appraisals, authentication, identification, valuation estimates, and collection consultation. He acts as a discreet alternative to auction houses and proxy-bids at major auction events for clients.
"We build important collections for important people. As a fellow collector, I'm more interested in acquiring customers who share these interests than in making a sale."
Michael Simens has performed appraisals at the NRA's National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia, and served as an advisor to The National Museum of the United States Army. He's a member of major collecting organizations including the C.C.A., K.R.A., O.G.C.A., C.A.D.A., and numerous Civil War and antique arms societies. His clients range from individual collectors to historical institutions.
Items have included pieces owned or associated with Abraham Lincoln, Alexander Hamilton, Theodore Roosevelt, Kit Carson, George Armstrong Custer, Buffalo Bill Cody, Bat Masterson, Commodore Perry, and other iconic figures.
