Learn Defense Industries

Learn Defense Industries offers structured firearms instruction centered on self-defense, with the Intro to Pistol course as their entry point for new shooters. The 4-5 hour class runs Saturday mornings (8am start) and covers how to handle and care for your firearm—exactly what someone needs after their first purchase.

The course is $125 and runs regularly throughout the year. You bring your own handgun and 150 rounds of ammo, plus hearing and eye protection. Can't source that stuff? LDI has rental firearms and ammunition available—just let them know in advance so they can arrange pricing.

Instructor note: Don't bring a .22 to this class. They've found it doesn't work well for students. If you show up with one and have problems, you'll switch to an LDI gun and buy the remaining ammo, or forfeit the class with no refund.
