Full description and what we offer
Shamrock Sporting Clays sits on property with deep roots in Pennsylvania's industrial and agricultural past. The name honors the original Shamrock coal mines that operated here at the turn of the century, powering the Industrial Revolution. After mining ended, the land shifted to farming. The current owners—with family ties to both coal mining and agriculture—preserved that heritage while building something new: a shooting club that respects the land's history.
Walking the property, you'll see the original silo from the 1920s-era barn, thoughtfully preserved and repurposed. The upper deck wraps around it with views of the Laurel Highlands countryside. The lower level houses a secure gun vault. It's preservation with purpose.
15-station sporting clays course spread across a scenic one-mile paved trail. Shooters travel in comfort via four-seater golf carts with room for gear. Over 30 MEC sporting throwers offer unique presentations—four clay sizes keep every skill level engaged. The mile gives you real terrain variation, not a cramped setup.
5-stand range: Fully enclosed, two-tiered house for warm-ups and practice. Works for shooters who want a tighter, more controlled shooting experience before the main course.
Course time: Expect 2 to 2.5 hours to run the full 15 stations.
