Full description and what we offer
Trophy Rack Lodge operates out of Karthaus in the heart of Pennsylvania's Wilds, guiding elk hunts across the state's 3,500-square-mile Elk Management Area. Owner Larry Guenot established the outfitting operation in 2009 after spending his entire life hunting in the PA elk range and watching the herd grow to 1,300-1,600 animals.
The lodge guides hunts across all three PA elk seasons:
"You did the hard part and got the tag, let us take you to the finish line."
All Trophy Rack guides are local, experienced outdoorsmen who work as a coordinated team. They set trail cameras, scout hunting territory, share intel with each other, and know where to find trophy bulls in your assigned zone. Personal service and friendly hospitality are standard—these guys live here and know the land intimately.
Preparation starts long before opening day. Larry plants food plots, establishes relationships with landowners across multiple zones, scouts relentlessly, and hires experienced elk guides who understand the rugged PA terrain.
Multiple Trophy Rack hunters have earned places in the Pennsylvania record book, including Bob Cook, David Kurtz, Ron Marney, and Steve Winters. The lodge also serves as the official guide for KECA (Keystone Elk Country Alliance) raffle winners, and has guided the last several years' lucky tag holders to success.
