Forest Grove Sportsmens Association has been a cornerstone of the Coraopolis shooting and outdoor community since 1956. As a member-driven organization, the club provides dedicated sportsmen and women with world-class shooting facilities, safety education, and community conservation initiatives.
The facility offers multiple specialized shooting ranges:
- •Rifle & Pistol Ranges - Full-service ranges for centerfire and rimfire shooting
- •Trap & Skeet - Monday night trap shoots featuring a modern PAT Trap machine, open to members and non-members
- •Indoor Archery - Tuesday and Thursday evening sessions with special targets (broadhead/cutting tip arrows prohibited)
- •Pellet Gun Range - Monday evening silhouette and paper target shooting for all ages
Membership is $50/year (fiscal year August-August 31) with a one-time $200 initiation fee. Junior memberships are available at $10/year. Senior memberships ($10) are available to members of 10+ years before turning 65, with life membership available after 15 years. Membership is currently capped at 450, though applications are accepted for a waiting list. New members are voted in during September meetings only.
The Forest Grove Sportsmens Foundation, established through club donations, operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to conservation efforts, youth education scholarships, first responder support, and community firearms safety training.
All shooters must be familiar with comprehensive range rules before using facilities. The club maintains a calendar of range closings and special events. Ranges are members-only November 1st through December 9th.
