2026 class dates are posted and fill up—January through April sessions scheduled for NY and NJ.
They're also an authorized NRA training facility. If you want to become a certified firearms instructor, they offer:
Basic Instructor Training (BIT) - 6-hour classroom course - Required foundation for all NRA instructor disciplines - Covers training techniques, policy, and teaching fundamentals - 90% exam score required
Discipline-Specific Certifications - Pistol Instructor (10 hours classroom + range) - Rifle Instructor (14 hours classroom + range, includes up to 100 .22 cartridges) - Shotgun Instructor - Personal Protection In The Home (PPITH) - Personal Protection Outside The Home (PPOTH) - Chief Range Safety Officer
Cost for new instructors: BIT + one discipline = $245. Adding a discipline to existing NRA certification = $175. NYC range fee applies if you're not already a member of a shooting range ($50).
