Warwick Range Activities Committee

The Warwick Range is a historic, community-operated shooting range located in Warwick, Rhode Island, offering safe firearms instruction and practice opportunities for both adults and youth. Sponsored by the Warwick Range Activities Committee and affiliated with the National Rifle Association, this facility has served the local community since 1945.

The Warwick Range provides two primary shooting programs:

• •Adult Sunday Program – Open to shooters 21 years and older, featuring handgun instruction and practice with NRA-certified instructors. Sessions begin at 9:00 AM and run throughout the season.
• •Youth Rifle Safety Program – Saturday morning classes designed to teach firearm safety and proper handling to young shooters, with instruction starting at 8:30 AM and shooting at 9:00 AM.
• •Introductory Handgun & Safety Classes – Required for new shooters before participation in the adult program.
• •CCW Permit Qualifications – Facility offers qualifications for Rhode Island Attorney General/Town CCW permits.

The range is located at 1 Range Road in Warwick, positioned behind the Mickey Stevens Sports Complex. The facility operates seasonally from May through October. Staffed entirely by WRAC volunteers and supported by the Warwick Police Department, the range maintains a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for shooters of all experience levels.

New visitors should contact the facility via email for information on relay times, membership options, youth program enrollment, and specific operating dates. Non-resident visitors are welcome with a modest daily fee.
