Brian Price founded 3 Sixty Tactical after realizing his 20+ years of coaching and teaching martial arts could translate directly to firearms safety and self-defense training. His background includes a black belt in Goju-Ryu karate and Division I athletic coaching—disciplines that instilled the fundamentals he now brings to every class.
Brian's credentials: - NRA Pistol Instructor - SC Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP) Instructor - Range Safety Officer - CPR Instructor - CWP holder for 10+ years
They train people to carry firearms—concealed or open—safely and confidently. Their philosophy is straightforward: teach students to avoid threats when possible, but know how to stop them if forced. Everything centers on gun safety, operation, handling, and the legal framework in South Carolina.
This is the main course. It meets all SLED requirements for open or concealed carry in South Carolina. The class covers:
Works for beginners and advanced shooters. Training is good for three years—you've got that window to submit your application to SLED or you start over.
45-60 minute introduction to firearm safety fundamentals. Built for new gun owners.
Three-hour hands-on course that includes classroom and range time. Students learn safe handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition basics, shooting fundamentals, and pistol cleaning. You get the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and a course completion certificate.
Open to anyone regardless of shooting experience. Covers gun safety rules, revolver and semi-automatic operation, ammunition selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and range safety. Includes live fire and a nationally standardized shooting qualification. You receive the NRA handbook, take a written exam, and get a completion certificate.
One-on-one or couples training at all levels. Topics include gun purchase consultation, fundamentals, shooting technique, safety, CWP prep—whatever you need. Sessions can happen at your home, an outdoor range, an indoor range, or a combination. Contact them to discuss what fits your situation.
Take the CWP class with friends, family, or coworkers. They customize the schedule to fit your group's needs.
Blended online and in-person CPR training. Available courses: - Adult CPR - Child CPR - First Aid - AED Training
They emphasize that CPR skills can be the difference for someone in cardiac arrest.
Integrity • Respect • Responsibility • Knowledge • Professionalism
These aren't slogans on the wall—they're woven into how Brian teaches. His mission is to equip clients with the confidence, tools, and resources to safely and effectively carry and use a firearm, whether you're brand new or already trained.
3 Sixty Tactical recognizes the backgrounds of military and LEO applicants:
If you own real property in South Carolina but live out of state, you can get a non-resident permit. Complete the SC CWP class through a SLED-certified instructor, then submit: - Application - Non-Resident Real Property Tax form (completed by county tax assessor) - Copy of your driver's license - JPEG photo for credentials
Training must be completed before you submit—a registered South Carolina SLED certified instructor like Brian can walk you through the specific application requirements.

Brian is open to discussing your specific training needs, whether that's a standard CWP class, private instruction, group training, or something else entirely.
