Palmetto Reliance is a South Carolina FFL dealer specializing in firearm transfers and NFA processing. Whether you're bringing in a handgun, long gun, or NFA item from an online purchase, they handle the paperwork and background checks.

Beyond transfers, they carry firearms like Ruger handguns, 5.56 pistols and rifles from builders like Wise Arms, ammunition (TulAmmo and other brands), and specialized items including flamethrowers and air rifles.

• •Background Checks: NICS is required for all transfers (federal law). If you hold a valid SC Concealed Handgun License, you can skip NICS but still fill out Form 4473.

• •Out-of-State Rules: Long guns from out-of-state sellers can transfer to SC residents if legal in both states. Handguns and lower receivers must be shipped to an FFL in your home state.

• •Pickup Window: You have 10 days to pick up your transfer after notification. Storage fees of $10/day apply after day 10. After 30 days with no pickup, the firearm is considered abandoned.

• •Required Documentation: Valid government-issued photo ID with current address. If your ID doesn't match, bring a secondary document (vehicle registration, hunting/fishing license, utility bill, tax bill, voter ID).

All handguns must include a secure storage device before leaving the shop, per the Child Safety Lock Act of 2005.
