Hermitage Sporting Grounds

Hermitage Sporting Grounds made history as the first shooting facility in South Carolina to offer FITASC courses, and they've hosted multiple FITASC Grand Prix events. Today they run one of the state's most complete clay shooting operations in historic Camden, just 30 miles from Columbia and less than two miles off I-20.

You get serious options here:

• •Loblolly Course - 15 stations, 30 machines. Technical targets with varied distances and presentations. Solo shooters can set it on delay.
• •Cypress Course - 15 stations, 30 machines. Built for all skill levels from beginners working on fundamentals to experienced shooters dialing in their technique. Also delay-capable for solo shoots.
• •Cedar Course - Their super sporting option with 12 stations and 3 machines per station. Different clay target experience if you're tired of standard courses.
• •5-Stand - 8 state-of-the-art machines in one area. Perfect if you want to focus on basics—stance, mount, new gun familiarity—without the pressure of a full course.
• •FITASC - 4 different 12-gauge parcours with 5 machines each.
• •Sub-Gauge FITASC - 2 parcours running 5 Promatic machines and controllers each for sub-gauge competitors.

Each course can be shot solo with delay settings, so you're not depending on group availability.

Gun rentals cover 12-gauge and 20-gauge options in both semi-automatic and over/under configurations. They keep 10 golf carts in their fleet—call ahead to reserve one for your group.

Prepaid target cards (members only): 500 targets for $200, 1,000 targets for $350.

They rent the facility for corporate shoots, bachelor parties, fundraisers, team building events, and charity tournaments. Their pavilion handles large groups with a comfortable outdoor setup. The location works—30 miles from Columbia with easy I-20 access.
