4-H Shooting Sports of Brookings County is an educational youth program operated under SDSU Extension, not a commercial firearms business. This special interest group focuses on teaching firearm safety, responsibility, and marksmanship skills to young people ages 5-18 across Brookings County, South Dakota.
The program operates as part of Brookings County's broader 4-H Extension network, which serves youth across the county with the national 4-H motto: "To Make the Best Better." The shooting sports group is one of three specialized clubs available, alongside the Dog Club and Robotics & S.T.E.A.M. programs.
