Jesse Kaufman is a FEGA Master Engraver and specialized checkering expert who spent over a decade as a professional stock maker for Dakota Arms. In 2009, he was inducted into the American Custom Gunmakers Guild as a checkering specialist. What sets him apart: he handles the complete package—stock work, finishing, checkering, and engraving—all under one roof, all by his own hands.
2015 Remington Commission: Kaufman was commissioned by Remington Arms to engrave their twelve-piece Tier One bicentennial collection. Working 15 months, he inlayed 536 gold numbers and letters, used 109 feet of 24K wire, and logged roughly 3,800 hours on the project.
