Buckstorm guides trophy hunts for resident-only special draw permits in South Dakota's Black Hills. Licensed guides and a Special Use Federal Permit let them operate across most of the range, plus they have access to private properties throughout the area.
- •Elk hunts: 3 days ($4,500–$6,500 firearm; $3,500–$6,500 archery)
- •Bighorn sheep hunts: 3 days ($4,000)
- •Both firearm and archery available
- •Limited deer hunts on request
- •Hunt filming included at no charge
Scouting and trail cameras run from summer through fall. Every hunt is built on months of animal inventory and trophy-class assessments.
Lodging varies by hunt. Camp setup with tents/campers, or Team Lodge Extreme 2 trailer depending on the unit. Access to cabins throughout the Black Hills—they'll coordinate based on your hunt location.
These are "once in a lifetime" tags. Most require drawing before booking. Waitlist is long—apply early and contact them before the draw to discuss which unit fits your hunt.
