Chilhowee Sporting Clays

Located at 7601 Old Railroad Bed Road in Maryville, Tennessee, Chilhowee Sporting Clays is one of the oldest and most respected sporting clays ranges in the greater Knoxville area. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, this public-access facility offers breathtaking mountain views combined with world-class shooting opportunities.

Chilhowee features three primary shooting venues:

• •Sporting Clays Course: A 12-15 station course configured for full 100-target rounds, with expandable options for larger events. The range features BRB Systems traps with instant release and solo delay capabilities, offering both "soft" targets for beginners and "hard" targets for advanced shooters looking to sharpen their skills.

• •5 Stand Shooting Field: A dedicated five-stand area for additional clay target variety and competition-style shooting.

• •Outdoor Pistol Range: A 25-yard covered range with weather protection, featuring non-stationary target stands adjustable up to 75 feet for varied shooting distances.

The facility caters to recreational shooters, competitive enthusiasts, and groups alike. Shotgun rentals are available for those without their own firearms, and reasonably priced 12 and 20 gauge ammunition is stocked on-site. Golf carts can be rented for the sporting clays course, and the facility maintains two covered pavilions with electrical hookups for events.

Founded in 2006 by U.S. Marine Corps veteran Mickey Burns, Chilhowee Sporting Clays was built on a passion for sharing clay target shooting with the community. Current owner Jimmy Rickman continues this legacy with ongoing facility improvements and expanded range offerings.

Chilhowee welcomes individual shooters, families, corporate groups, charity organizations, and special events including bachelor parties, reunions, and team-building activities.
