Deer Hollow Enterprises operates with a simple principle: they only do work they know they can do well. You won't find them experimenting on your firearm. If they're not confident they can complete a restoration to your full satisfaction, they turn it down.

They specialize in Colt revolvers and C&R handguns, handling everything from grip restoration to complete refinishing. Their work includes:

• •Strip original finish, sand out blemishes
• •Repair worn retaining pin holes
• •Restore worn checkering and replace medallions
• •Apply factory-correct finish
• •Grips mounted to frame during sanding to ensure perfect fit and alignment

• •Stainless Polishing - Complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, mirror-shine polishing, then reapplication of factory finishes (blasted top strap, machine finish on cylinder face and muzzle). They can add new sights, grips, and parts for a fully "factory fresh" gun.

• •Nickel Plating - More restoration than simple refinish. They reapply all factory finishes including sand blasting and machine marks, while carefully preserving stamps and roll marks that larger shops often obliterate. The result beats budget plating shops on quality.

• •Parkerizing - Both grey zinc and black manganese processes for military firearms like 1911s. A cost-effective way to rejuvenate worn guns without full re-bluing. The dull finish hides minor dings, scratches, and rust pits.

• •Rust Bluing - The lustrous, semi-gloss finish found on classic firearms like Lugers and Mauser Broomhandles. Labor-intensive but distinctly different from modern hot bluing. Still used by high-end manufacturers today.
