NFA Transfer is a Federal Firearms Licensee operating from the East Brainerd area of Chattanooga. They don't stock inventory or ammunition—they're here to handle the paperwork side of buying firearms online and across state lines.

Bought a firearm from an online retailer? Ordering from out of state? That's their specialty. They conduct all required state and federal background checks and manage the FFL transfer process so responsible gun owners can legally receive their purchases.

Class 3 Firearms & Silencers – First silencer can feel overwhelming. NFA Transfer walks you through it. They handle NFA transfers for silencers, short-barrel rifles, and other regulated items. They also help locate inventory at competitive prices and can process eForm 4 approvals, which are faster than the traditional Form 4 route.

Private Party Transfers – While not legally required in Tennessee yet, they offer background checks on private-party sales ($25 transfer fee + $10 background check). It's protection for both seller and buyer.

If you're sending a firearm to them, remember: - Firearm must be unloaded with no ammunition - Include a clear copy of your ID (front and back) - Include receiver's name and contact info

They log every firearm by close of business per federal law—missing information means your firearm gets turned over to the ATF, not returned.

• •Abandoned Firearm Policy: Items left over 60 days without contact incur $2/day storage fees (exemption applies to active Form 4 pending NFA items). This protects both parties in cases where firearms go unclaimed.
