Thorn Mountain combines firearms training and NFA sales at their private educational range in Pikeville. Their core offering: Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit classes (classroom + live-fire qualification), plus Defensive Handgun, Rifle, and Shotgun courses taught by in-house instructor Mickey Swafford.
They also host guest instructors from around the country — past visitors include Aaron Cowan (Sage Dynamics), Ed Calderon, and Pat McNamara. Mark Smith from JBS Training Group and American Gas Gun are scheduled for March 2026.
