Steel Challenge is speed shooting at steel plates—eight standardized stages where you run against the clock and your own times. It's the fastest way to get competitive without the complexity of other match formats.
You shoot five runs per stage and drop your worst time, so a bad stage doesn't wreck your day. Eight stages means variety in targets and positions. This is how most shooters get their feet wet in competitive handgun, and MSSA runs it clean.
