Memphis Sport Shooting Association

Memphis Sport Shooting Association operates one of the region's most comprehensive private shooting facilities on 9428 Old Brownsville Road in Lakeland, TN. The grounds span 185 acres with separate ranges designed for different disciplines and skill levels.

• •8 Skeet Fields and 10 Trap/Skeet Fields
• •Pistol Ranges: 7/15 yard, 25/50 yard, and two 50/100 yard covered lines with overhead baffles
• •Action/Practical Pistol Range (restricted to qualified members)
• •Long-Range Rifle: 200/300 yard range and separate 200, 300, 500, 600 yard rifle range
• •Cowboy Action Shooting Range (restricted to qualified members)
• •60-Yard Archery Range
• •Sporting Clay Courses: 15-station course, 5-stand, FITASC, and Wobble trap

All ranges feature separate target storage and high earthen berms for safety. The 50 and 100-yard ranges include overhead baffles to contain misdirected shots.

MSSA is a private, non-profit organization incorporated in 1986 that evolved from the Memphis Rifle and Revolver Association (established 1936). It's affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

The range is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM until sunset. The office and ranges are closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Eye and ear protection is mandatory on all firing lines. No centerfire rifles are allowed on the Action Pistol Range—only pistol-caliber firearms. Members must register guests upon arrival and accompany them at all times.
