Amarillo Police

The Amarillo Shooting Complex is a public firearms range operated by the Amarillo Police Department, located at 16700 Bezner Road west of Amarillo. This is a municipal facility, not a commercial business—it's managed by APD and open to the general public for supervised shooting practice.

The range features two distinct shooting areas:

• •Pistol Range: 25-yard covered firing line with steel targets and fixed frames for paper targets
• •Rifle Range: Covered firing line with concrete benches at both 100 and 200-yard distances

Both areas operate under the supervision of a range safety officer on duty during all operating hours. The facility includes an indoor classroom and a meeting area with tables and chairs.

Range Fees: - $14.30 per lane for three hours (includes two standard bull's eye targets) - $6.15 per hour for additional time (includes one target per shooter) - Annual passes: $153 (seniors), $179 (others) - Silhouette and Shoot n See targets available for additional charge

All shooters must take and pass the Amarillo Shooting Complex Shooter Safety Card before using the range. There is no fee for the safety test—it's mandatory.

The facility sells ammunition, targets, and safety equipment. Spotting scopes are available for lease.

From Amarillo: Take I-40 West to Arnot Road exit. Continue west on the IH-40 service road for about 1 mile. Turn right on S. Hill Road (watch for the City of Amarillo Landfill sign) and go 2 miles north to Bezner Road. Turn left—the shooting complex is ½ mile on the right.
