Balch Springs Gunsmith & Gun Shop has operated since 1975, built on old-world gun-making techniques passed down through generations. The owner grew up in his father's gunsmithing shop and learned methods that have largely disappeared from the industry. Both he and his wife are certified Police Armorers—a rare combination.
Unlike shops that outsource work, Balch Springs handles everything on-site. The facility includes full-size lathes, milling machines, and rebluing equipment. This means faster turnaround, consistent quality, and the ability to tackle complex jobs that other shops won't touch.

Balch Springs uses advanced hydrografix technology for gun and hunting equipment camo. The process involves auto-grade paint matched to your selected pattern, then adhesion via water-based chemical separation in a stainless steel tank. The finish holds up to normal hunting conditions and typically takes two weeks or less. Eleven different camo patterns are available.
Work carried and used by specialized L.E. Military units worldwide. You can trust your life to the work.
FFL Licensed – Most non-pistols can be shipped to Balch Springs via UPS or FedEx for work. Completed guns are returned the same way. Contact them for pistol shipping options.
The facility operates across multiple Texas service areas including Balch Springs, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, Hutchins, and surrounding communities. NRA Life Member since 1969.
