Chandler Gun Shop & Gun Ranges

Chandler's Gun Shop & Shooting Ranges serves shooters from beginner to experienced. Located in Valley Mills, they operate a retail shop paired with dedicated pistol and rifle ranges—all in one location.

Range Setup: - Pistol ranges: 3, 7, and 15 yards - Rifle ranges: 25, 50, and 100 yards - Day pass: $15 - No shotguns or 50 cal allowed

Texas License to Carry (LTC) - Classroom instruction + shooting proficiency requirement - 50-round qualification: 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 at 7 yards, 10 at 15 yards - Fees: $60 general public / $50 seniors & members - Classes scheduled throughout the year (Feb-Nov 2026 dates available) - If you've never shot before, they recommend their Beginner Handgun class first

Hunter Safety Education - State of Texas mandate for all hunters born after Sept. 1, 1971 - 6-hour course, $15 cash only - Minimum age 9 (kids 14 and under must have an adult present)

NRA Certifications - Range Safety Officer Course: 9am-6pm, $125 - Basic Rifle Course: 9am-6pm, $125 (includes handbook and certification) - Must score 90% to pass

Scheduled Youth Training: - Children's Rifle Class (ages 10-12): June 2026, Sundays 1-3pm, $50. Includes classroom, range time, .22lr rifles, and ammo.

Appointment-Only: - Basic Handgun: 1 hour, $25 - Basic Rifle: 1 hour, $25

FFL Transfers - $40 per firearm (public) / $20 per firearm (members) - Receives transfers from other FFL dealers only—no transfers from individuals - Pickups: 10am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday
