Full description and what we offer
Code 7 Tactical runs firearms classes taught by Chad, a former Navy corpsman (attached to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine regiment, deployed to Afghanistan and Southeast Asia) and nine-year LAPD veteran who worked patrol, plainclothes, narcotics, and gang enforcement in South Central. That background shapes everything—the instruction is grounded in what actually works, not theory.
Handgun Fundamentals – Zero-to-confident in a day. Covers firearm safety rules, stance and grip, safe loading/unloading, and operation of your specific gun. No pressure, no experience needed.
Intro to Red Dot – Half-day course for shooters new to optics or transitioning from iron sights. Real-world drills that make the dot work for you.
Defensive Handgun – Where mechanics meet mindset. Covers drawing and firing, accuracy while moving, multiple targets, and malfunction recovery under pressure. Students call it pressure-tested and logical.
Private Instruction – Half-day or full-day one-on-one coaching tailored to your goals. Works for beginners sharpening fundamentals, competition prep, concealed carry skills, or tactical work.
Private Events – Corporate team building, birthday parties, friend groups. Custom-designed around your group's skill level and goals.
All classes are open to the public—no membership required, no prerequisites.
They don't run long lectures. Every class is hands-on shooting from start to finish. The environment is supportive but challenging—you get real feedback and one-on-one coaching, not standing in a line for hours.
"Chad is engaging and led everyone through a logical progression of skills that built upon one another." – Eddie
