Delta Red Tactical Firearms Training operates a defensive shooting school for law-abiding citizens and professionals who depend on firearms in their work. Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country near San Saba—near the geographic center of Texas—the facility is accessible from both rural and metropolitan areas.

Pistol & Handgun Training - NRA Basic Pistol — Eight hours, $125. For beginning handgun owners. Covers NRA safety rules, handgun parts and operation, ammunition differences, shooting fundamentals, cleaning, range rules, and basic positions. - Basic Handgun — Full curriculum for new shooters. - Ladies' Basic Handgun — Dedicated course for women shooters. (Women represent the fastest-growing segment of the shooting sports industry.) - Defensive Handgun Level 1 — Eight hours, $195. Prerequisite for Level 2. Classroom covers safety, handgun overviews, basic gun handling, threat awareness, and combat mindset. Range work includes draw/presentation, manipulation skills, malfunction clearance, defensive shooting drills, moving and shooting, and multiple positions. - Defensive Handgun Level 2 — Advanced skills for Level 1 graduates. - License to Carry Handgun (LTC/CHL) — $75. Texas state-required classroom and shooting proficiency test. Fifty rounds fired from 3, 7, and 15 yards. Qualifies for both semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. Includes snacks and refreshments. Rifle & Carbine Training - Defensive Carbine Level 1 — 16 hours over two days (8:30 am–5:30 pm), $300. Classroom covers safety, rifle manipulation, ammunition performance, handgun vs. rifle performance, unique rifle properties, lubrication, and care. Range instruction includes loading/unloading, sight-in, slinging, and shooting positions. TCOLE credit available for law enforcement. - Defensive Carbine Level 2 — Advanced carbine skills. - Long-Range Precision Rifle — Specialized long-distance shooting instruction.
Shotgun & Special - Defensive Shotgun — Eight hours, $195. Covers loading, ammunition management, malfunction clearance, firing different ammunition types, various firing positions, shot pattern recognition, and tactical shotgun manipulation. 8:30 am–5:30 pm. - Hunter Education — Course available.
The "Delta" in Delta Red comes from the Combat Triad—three equal components: gun handling, marksmanship, and mindset. All three carry equal weight in defensive firearms training, represented as an equilateral triangle.
